Thurs. Apr. 7- Zine Reading Event #3

Email cellardoorgifts@gmail.com if you are interested in reading from your zine, or even reading from other zines that you like. There may be some open format time at the end, so even if you don't sign up, bring some zines you'd like to read from if that's your thing. No workshop this time, but there’ll be some snacks & beverages on hand, a zine-related slideshow, and time for swapping/buying zines. Bring munchies to share if you like, and a chair/pillow if you don't like sitting on the floor.

@ Cellar Door Gifts & Gallery (147 Harvard SE) 7-10pm, FREE, Kids welcome, but there may be adult topics covered.

Subtitled “Anarcho/a-Primitivism & Judeo-Christianity in Conversation,” this series of don’t-call-them-debates features Xtian/Eco/Anarkostars Layla Abdel Rahim, Ched Meyers, John Zerzan,and address the questions:

Is civilization sustainable?

Can we learn from past cultures?

Can Social Ecology & Christianity work together?

Is academic theorizing just a big pointless circlejerk?

Joel Davis does sick tile mosaic art, which people need to be paying attention to. Go look at his stuff, then buy some. There’s other artists involved too, but I don’t know any of them.

Wait, yes I do! Creighton Burson does fantastic craft art, and Lance Ryan does something really cool, too.
