Sat. Feb. 25- Everything is STILL Terrible!
Everything is Terrible! are back in Burque with yet another insane mashup/collage of some of the most stupefyingly awkward, wrongheaded & just plain terrible video clips from the gilded age of VHS. This time around, it’s called DoggieWoogiez! PoochieWoochiez! and features a whole lotta dog-oriented material, allegedly as a remake of Jodorowsky’s Holy Mountain. Oh man. This is seriously gonna warp your brain.
@ The Guild Cinema (3405 Central NE) 10:30pm ONLY, $8 and well worth the damage.

Sat. Mar. 3- local Mondo Bizarro cinema
Nazi Apocalypse (dir. Charles Duncan, 93m, 2011) is an ABQ independent film; a black comedy/horror/ B-movie homage, involving “3 stages of cinema” (Nazis, Lesbians & Zombies?!) & throwing in some stop motion for good measure. N/A follows a parallel WWII timeline; the battlefield a neo-noir, sepiatone nightmare in which morbidly cartoonish characters slip in and out of a color reality. Set to a witch house, post-pop & even classical soundtrack (diva del muerte, NEAL&BOB, Lauren Anderson & MI’s Theatre of the Haunted Eyelid), this film is perplexing and graphic, yet still lighthearted in the aspect of poking fun at everything disturbing and dark, including itself.
@ The Guild Cinema (3405 Central NE) 10:30pm only, $5 admission, blooper reels & free schwag afterward.
